Help, I can’t get into the Detention Center! The tall guy is blocking my way!
Don’t you have a crime scene to investigate or something?
I tried investigating the crime scene! I got all the evidence, but now there’s nobody to talk to at any location or anything…
Sorry, your game is glitched. Try reloading the game. If that doesn’t work, you could ask for help fixing it on the forums, or you could restart the game (considering you’re at the beginning).
(Spoilers: Trial 1)
Who the heck disguised himself as Fisher!? There isn’t anyone who could’ve done it! I can’t figure it out!
Look carefully at the profile pictures. Also, there’s a certain piece of evidence you have that seems like it could be part of a disguise. Think crazy with this one.
Judge wasn’t drugged or anything… What could’ve possibly made him fall asleep?
Think about what was in the cell at the time; there aren’t many choices. This one is a bit of a stretch, but also remember that it was in the middle of the night.
(Spoilers: Investigation 2)
I’m showing the stuff I found at the cemetery to Ema, but Polly says I should investigate the crime scene more! What do I do?
You need to get and present all the evidence from the cemetery. That means the gum and steering wheel. Once you’ve presented both of them, the game should advance automatically.
(Spoilers: Trial 2, before culprit is known)
No matter how hard I look, I can’t find a contradiction in Jake’s testimony!
That's good, because there isn't one.
What event contradicts Erlenmeyer’s motive to kill Judge?
If Erlenmeyer’s motive to kill Judge was revenge for sentencing him to prison, then Erlenmeyer would have wanted Judge dead unconditionally. But if Erlenmeyer would have used any opportunity possible to kill Judge…
Gwaaaaaaaaaaaaaah I’m supposed to tell the court the identity of the killer and provide evidence, but I have no idea!!
Think about everything that’s been said and done until this point, and all the evidence you have. It’s time to use that strange piece of evidence that’s seemed pretty out of place until this point…
(Spoilers: Trial 2, after culprit is known)
I found the contradiction in Rhea’s testimony! Why won’t it let me go on?
Because there are three contradictions in Rhea’s testimony.
I’ve looked and looked and looked, but I just can’t find that last contradiction!
Hopefully these hints will help you out… One of the contradictions has to do with Erlenmeyer’s fingerprints. A second one has to do with how exactly Rhea got to the cemetery. The last contradiction has to do with where Rhea was standing. (The last contradiction is probably the one you didn’t find; you need to ask where Erlenmeyer and Judge were fighting by pressing statement 4 before you can present this contradiction.)
Okay, now I can’t find a problem with her second testimony! Everything she says lines up with the evidence, and I can’t find anything wrong with the stuff she says when I press her…
She knows what really happened, so she’s going to make sure everything she says is correct. Think very carefully about the second day of investigation.
ARGH! I can’t figure out the final present!! I’ve presented literally every profile and piece of evidence, but it still won’t give me the contradiction with what Rhea has said!
You probably selected the wrong piece of evidence when you needed to choose the bracelet/drugs/file. No matter which piece of evidence you choose and how you present it, you will still proceed to the final present, but it will only work if you presented the right evidence first. (Yes, we’re evil like that.) So reload your game, and try that previous present first. (Hint: Think about the one that is most directly related to the actual killings.)
I think I’m supposed to present XXXX, but it’s not in the Court Record! What do I do?
Your game may have bugged, and not given you the evidence. You should probably tell us on the forums, and we’ll tell you how to fix it. (The exception to this is Charles; he’s in the profiles section of the Court Record, so if you think he’s missing, check there first.)
